Historical Overview Edit

Rogers Heights CRC began as a chapel sponsored by Bethel CRC (1955-58) and was organized in 1958.

After 8 years of membership decline, 2 years of budget shortfalls, and with over $100,000 in debts, the church council decided it was time to close down. With congregational blessing, the last service was held on November 20, 2011.

Membership chart Edit

Green (lower) line shows membership in families; blue (middle), professing members; red (top), total members; and magenta (thin), non-professing members. Note influx of members due to merger with Franklin Street CRC in 1966 and 36th Street in 1995.

Red line shows nonprofessing members as a percentage of total membership.

Red line shows five year growth rate. A five year growth rate between 10% and -10% is considered stable; greater than 10% indicates a growing congregation; one below -10% indicates a church in decline. This makes no allowance for daughter churches.
