History

Grandville Avenue CRC was organized in 1891 by members of Franklin Street CRC. Grandville Ave. was the ninth Christian Reformed congregation in Grand Rapids. Southwest Christian School was built to the north of the Grandville Ave. building at 811 Chicago Drive and is now used by The Potter's House, which was begun in 1981 with two teachers and a dozen students.

Grandville Ave. merged with Bethel in 1994 to form Roosevelt Park Community Church.
